I promise you!

Whenever I sit to write something
My brain works like there’s nothing!

Is every writer here, the same
And if I don’t write will you forget my name?

My pages are still empty
All I can now write is Humpty Dumpty

Full of void in my writer’s head
And so is every word already dead

I really know how to write
But what can I write would be right?

I am finding it hard to write it sweet
But sure the next time I will not cheat!

If you are here and if you read this full
I promise you, my next post wouldn’t be dull!

Offshore Writings

P.S: I sit and sit again to write but sometimes my brain refuses to work and it’s full of void! So thought of writing a poem of what am going through. Hope I am not going like this for long and will be back with a pack (of poems)!

  1. You’re posts are never dull, dearest Preeths. We all go through these writing stages. All of us. Wishing you a New Year full of love, joy, peace, and many blessings. Much love to you, dear friend. ❤️❤️❤️

  2. Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this website.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and appearance.
I must say you have done a very good job with this.
Additionally, the blog loads super quick for me on Safari.
    Superb Blog!

  3. I’m not that much of a online reader to be honest but your sites really nice, keep
it up! I’ll go ahead and bookmark your site to come

  7. I loveed hearing your thoughts that we all share when we are writing Preeths and I think it candidly expresses truth and creativity as you sit quiet unltil words come like they did today!. When I wrote to kiss the page I had the same experience and yet I felt so satisfied with the outcome. It isn’t any indication, your stats look good today, so notice that. ❤️❤️❤️Cindy

  8. Offshorewriter, every writer experiences this. Well-expressed!

This morning, I was inspired by a photo and wrote down my thoughts in a haiku to be polished up later. Sometimes I wake up with a poem in my mind. Even if it’s the middle of the night, I scribble my thoughts down and refine it later. I keep a list of things I would like to write about and jot down notes when ideas come to me. If I am not happy with something I am writing, sometimes it helps to sleep on it. Some people can write on demand. That doesn’t usually work well for me.

    Have a great week! ❤

    1. Thank you Cheryl for your kind comment! 💕 Sometimes words flow and sometimes it doesn’t. When I decide to write and when my brain doesn’t co-operate then there is a bad news.

I am glad you could write anytime, and that works for me too! And I believe every one is unique in their own way. And few can write and write and few will go void like me. 😭 But I am coming back! 🙌

      1. Virtually all writers “go void.” You just need to find strategies to deal with it that work for you. As you say, “everyone is unique.” I too have written a poem about “writers’ block” on my blog. It is called “Genius at Work.” You are a very good poet, and I enjoy reading your work. ❤
